Back from another great UK tour. Thanks to all our fans for showing up at our gigs and to all the clubs, can´t wait to come back! For the first time we did a "Blues in school" at Russell Hall primary school in Bradford.

MÜNSTER BLUES JAM FEIERT 2JÄHRIGES!
Am kommenden Dienstag, dem 6. Juni, feiern wir das 2jährige Jubiläum
der Münster Blues Jam. Wir hoffen auf zahlreiches Erscheinen, es wird zur
Feier des Tages eine Verlosung geben bei der ihr tolle Preise gewinnen könnt.
An den darauffolgenden 4 Dienstagen (13.,20. und 27. Juni sowie am 4. Juli))
wird die Münster Blues Jam zugunsten wichtiger WM-Spiele ausfallen. Es
geht dann wieder am 11. Juli weiter.

Here are some impressions from the Lillehammer Bluesfestival where we shared the stage last weekend with the "Legends of Chicago Blues" and the Blasters amongst others. Great Festival with great atmosphere, very well organized. Check out these nice pics.

Our two 10th anniversary shows turned out to be a lot of fun. Memo
and band had a blast playing with Dave, Keith and Christian - thank you guys!
The crowds seemed to like it, too. Maybe something interesting for you festival
promoters out there....

We also had a great time during our UK tour and Memo Gonzalez
& The Bluescasters will be back next year for sure! Besides our regular
gigs we took the time to say hello to Ian Siegal, sitting in at his jam at the
"Ain´t nothing but...." in London. A week later we went to see
shows of two guitar greats from the UK : Matt Schofield and Otis Grand (who
got Memo and Band up on stage with him). Special thanks to our friend Martin
Vowles, all the promoters and club owners and everybody who came out to see
us! See you in 2006!

Good news for all you blues fans in the UK! On September 15th the band
will cross the channel to play a two and a half weeks tour (14 Gigs) in your
lovely country - see you there! (check our TOUR DATES).
After England Memo Gonzalez & The Bluescasters will perform two special shows celebrating their 10th anniversary. Friday October 7th the band will play in Brussels (Belgium) at the CC Nekkersdal featuring guest stars Big Dave (ex-Electric Kings) and Keith Dunn - both on harmonica and vocals. Saturday October 8th Memo & the Boys will do another revue style gig in Greven (Germany) at the "Kulturschmiede im Ballenlager" featuring Keith Dunn and Christian Bleiming (piano). Do not miss these special events!!!!!

NEW DRUMMER! We finally found the famous needle in the haystack. HENK
PUNTER from Amsterdam (NL) is our new man on the skins and a great
guy, too. Henk, a founding member of T-99, one of Holland´s most respected
blues/roots bands decided to join Memo Gonzalez & The Bluescasters full
time. Besides T-99 he used to play and record with many international artists
e.g. Paul Orta, Lynwood Slim, Hook Herrera, Boyd Small,etc. Check him out at

After playing two fabulous nights in Verbier, one of Switzerland´s premier
ski resorts, and another two smokin´gigs during last week´s mini
tour (2.000 KM), Memo Gonzalez & The Bluescasters are back and ready to
rock the Lagerhalle,
Osnabrück on April 2nd and the Blechtrommel,
Münster on April 9th: We are looking forward to play these two shows in
our area and party with our friends (at the Lagerhalle we will be celebrating
our 10th Anniversary - so you all better come on out and have lots of Tequila
with us!).

Back from England (our second two week GB tour this year) where we recorded
three nights for an upcoming live CD. Memo was in great shape and everybody
is looking forward to a new CD release. A big thank you goes out to Mike Thorne,
Pete Nash, Philip Guy Davies of the Famous Monday Blues in Oxford, Andy &
Theresa at Riff´s Bar and The Musician in Leicester and to all the fans
that showed up at our gigs and made every night a special one! Our 2005 calendar
is filling up with some interesting gigs. For April 13th, 2005 the band was
just booked to play the “Bluestage Roth”, Roth /Germany at the Kulturfabrik
sharing the big stage with England’s legendary YARDBIRDS!!! Another great
night will happen in Wendelstein (near Nürnberg) where we are gonna be
playing a Bluesnight on may 4th with our dear friends Anson Funderburgh &
The Rockets feat. Sam "The Deacon of the Delta" Myers and the Larry
Garner Band. Come on out!

We just came back from Vieux Boucau (south France) where we played a great biker
festival (the Atlantic Harley Show)– sharing the stage with Shawn Pittman
who used to play some gigs with Memo back in his Texas’ days. By the way:
In August Paul Orta showed up twice at our weekly jam at the “Bunter
Vogel” in Münster and had a lof of fun jamming with his buddy
Memo and the boys. So come on out – you never know who will be there next…

We are back home from another great weekend in England. We rocked the Troubadour
in downtown London, shared the stage in Plymouth with our dear friends The
Wildcards before we crowned the tour at the Half Moon in Paignton, Devon
where we had a great aftershow party with Martin & Kevin from the Wildcards,
their lovely wives and some other party animals. What a night! Also we met our
friend Stella Artois from Belgium who was with us the whole night.

We had a great time last friday playing the 10th Dixie & Jazzfestival in
Einsiedeln (Switzerland). What a GREAT atmosphere! Make sure you go there next
year for the 11th Edition. Be there or be square! We met our dear friends "Los
Conejos" (The best Texas Blues Band in Switzerland, check out their killer
version of "Your´re humbuggin me"), we had a great time together.
The next day we were heading to play the 27th edition of the "Jazz Weekend"
in Dillenburg, those Dillenburgers know how to party. We had a ball and met
a lot of friends :the great Albie Donerly, Kevin Duvernay, Tommie Harris, Chris
Rannenberg, Angela "The Brown Angel" Brown.
This coming weekend we are heading to play some dates in Denmark together with
our good friend Bjarne Rask and his band "The Kingbees" before we
play the 1st. Arlon Bluesfestival in Belgium on sunday afternoon where we are
gonna share the stage with our very dear friends "B.B. & the Blues
Shacks" from Hildesheim, if you are living in Belgium make sure you make
it to Arlon this coming weekend.

Die erste Münster Blues Jam im bunten Vogel war ein voller Erfolg.
Dank an all die zahlreich erschienen Musiker sowie an alle anwesenden Bluesfans
und natürlich an den Bunten Vogel!
Am kommenden Dienstag startet die Jam um 23.00 Uhr nach dem EM Spiel Deutschland
- Niederlande. Danach wird die Jam immer Dienstags von 20.00 bis 22.30
stattfinden.

After sitting in with Anson Funderburgh & The Rockets and talking to his
old Dallas' buddy Sam Myers (who christend him " The Big Enchilada "
on stage) at the Manege, Ratingen/Germany (March 28th), Memo Gonzalez (&
The Bluescasters) heads off to England on April 3rd for a two week tour. The
band will appear at one of the UK's premier festivals "The
Burnley Blues Festival" (sharing the stage with Jim Suhler - another
friend and fellow band member of Memo's Texas days, a.o.) during their 15 days
in the country.
